2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R pricing announced

The new 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI and 2022 Volkswagen Golf R are the 8^th generation of two legendary sports cars, and as has always been the case, they will provide their exceptional performance at a price that makes a lot of sense. The 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI will start at just $31,495 while the 2022 Volkswagen Golf R will start at $44,995.

Powering the 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R is a turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 241 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque in the GTI, and 315 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque (280 pound-feet of torque with the six-speed manual) in the Golf R. That’s 13 more horsepower for the Golf GTI and 27 more horsepower for the Golf R.

Both cars won’t just be faster, they will also be a lot more agile with even more impressive handling awaiting. The new Vehicle Dynamics Manager system controls all of the vehicle’s technologies such as electronic stability control, electronic differential lock and optional adaptive damping system in order to ensure the best possible handling. The 2022 Volkswagen Golf R’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system includes a drift mode that uses the system’s ability to send 100 percent of the rear torque to one wheel in order to let the car slip out with complete control.

The 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R are not just more powerful, they are also more luxurious.
