2022 Volkswagen Tiguan vs. 2022 Hyundai Tucson: more and more complete

It's also more flexible in use, which is not to be overlooked.

More reliable?

Which is more reliable? Basically, it's much better than Hyundai's, but you have to be careful, because the last generation of the Tucson was the victim of several recalls. And since we're dealing with a brand-new model, and boo-boos often come out in the first year, there's reason to be a little embarrassed.

On the flip side, the Volkswagen Tiguan has been an excellent soldier since its most recent redesign in 2018. So, when it comes to reliability, this is the one that's going to guarantee you the most peace of mind.

Space to spare

Finally, when it comes to the cabin and its layout, once again, we have to give the edge to the Tiguan. In fact, in addition to offering a seven-seat configuration, which the Hyundai SUV does not, the Tiguan is much more spacious for gear. The total volume behind the first row of seats is 2081 liters. That's 205 more than the Tucson's 1876 liters.
